I got a new toy (yes, another one!) for graduation!  A BIG THANKS to my Aunt Lisa, Aunt Mary and their families for giving me the most big people gift a girl could get.  Have you figured out what it is yet?  That’s right, it’s a Kitchen Aid mixer!  A red, shiny, new Kitchen Aid mixer. 

They had originally bought me a black one and I had to make the decision about whether or not that was the color that I actually wanted.  I ended up deciding that red better suited my personality, and although I have now been sentenced to making every kitchen I ever have match a red Kitchen Aid mixer, I think it will be okay.  Here’s a picture of my shiny new toy…

The first cooking adventure that I took it on was an awesome one.  Chocolate cupcakes with Nutella frosting.  They came out AWESOME.  If I had to do it again, I’d absolutely add some cayenne pepper to the chocolate cupcakes though, just to give it a little bit of a kick.  (Everything’s better with a kick…)
