I’ve been inspired by The Lovely Undergrad on this one. She has taken on a new color scheme in her bedroom and I fell in love with it.
You see, I unfortunately don’t know what color to tell you this is. Is it teal? Is it aquamarine? Is it turquoise? I’ll call it turquoise for now even though Wiki is pushing me towards “deep sky blue”. I don’t know, but it’s definitely one of my current favorite colors.
In the past few weeks, Jessica from The Lovely Undergrad has spray painted chairs, a bust, a lamp, and statues of birds & a bird cage this color. I couldn’t take it anymore, I needed something this color. I chose a night stand that I bought from Ikea for $39.
Now I have to find the perfect drawer knob to replace that one in. I think it’s going to be white and silver/chrome, but I’m not quite sure yet. PS, once I get internet in my new place I promise to bring the picture quality back up to par.
Do you have any bright color accents in your bedroom?

robin’s egg blue
Tiffany Blue!
Love the teal color!! I think with some new trim, this night stand will make a grand statement! Sorry that I haven’t stopped by at your blog lately…about the little boy stamp, it is one stamp with a few sentiment in one set. Infos are in my blog! Enjoy your summer!
No problem at all, time is definitely a hard thing to come by some months!
Love that colour Hippie Child has a feature wall in her bedroom painted that colour – I’d call it aquamarine or teal – but whatever it’s name it’s very pretty.
etsy has a million and one dresser knobs to choose from– maybe glass?
i love that color!! you did a great job and i’m sure it looks so cute in your room now :)

I love how bright it is! A nice change to the neutral Ikea norm :).
Thanks!! I was really excited when I realized it was MY bedroom with MY furniture (paid for with my money), I can finally be a little bit more creative – so excited for the challenge/adventure!
My favorite color! Love it very much! :)
I like the color of this end table. Lately, this color is also being used for comfort pillows.
Thanks!! It would be great to get pillows in this color as well – I’m going to have to remember this :)
I love that colour too, whatever it is!! I think you need an accent wall in the same colour now to compliment it! :o) x Sorry but I couldn’t drop the “u” in colour, it felt wrong xx
Haha – probably exactly how wrong it feels for me to put it in. An accent wall is definitely a good idea. Right now all of the walls are a light mossy green – so I don’t exactly know if it’ll work out right now, but I will definitely keep it in mind.
[...] few days ago I blogged about my new turquoise nightstand. I absolutely love how it turned out. I thought it needed one more fun touch though, so I went [...]
