I wanted to share with all of you my Christmas and New Year’s card that I created this year. I wanted to wait until I thought that all of the New Year’s cards had arrived at their respective locations – which if they haven’t, I’m sorry!!
As for the card creation – I bought myself a graphics tablet and I was SUPER excited to use it. I designed them sitting in a hotel room in Louisiana between the hours of 6:30pm and 9:00pm on a Friday night (because that’s when all good things get done). Then I got them printed at Kinkos the next day (2 per page), and spent the next morning cutting them apart and folding them in the lobby (the other awesome place where things get done). I was pretty thrilled about how they came out.
Does anybody else send out New Year’s Cards or is it just me? I find that it’s easier to avoid the whole controversy of “Happy Holidays” – and you never have to say “Happy Holidays” – which is super generic and impersonal I feel like. Although, we did decide that “Season’s Greeting’s” is even worse than Happy Holidays. How do you wish people a “Happy Holidays”?
Also, in case anybody’s curious about how my – send only one card to everybody between Halloween and New Year’s idea – went, I sent out approximately 60 cards in that time. I actually have a list of 18 left. Maybe they’ll get Valentine’s Day cards, who knows. How do people handle all of the cards that they send out? Maybe I’m writing too much inside…

As a recipient of the New Year’s Card I loved receiving it, and especially the lovely handwritten message inside. No it wasn’t too much writing. It was thoughtful and kind and a lovely recap of our bloggy friendship.
Awesome :)
