In honor of Center City restaurant week this week in Philadelphia, I thought I’d take this chance to share with y’all my favorite restaurants around the city (from Center City and more). I know you’ve seen the restaurant list and I know that you’ve seen the lists of places (1, 2) that I’ve taken people that I’m showing around the city, but I thought to myself wouldn’t it be great if this was all in one place? And now it is.
I want to preface this list by saying these are my top restaurants in Philadelphia as of January 2013. I also only commented on the sections of town that I felt that I have the experience to do it justice (which reminded me that I really need to get to fairmount, northern liberties, the graduate hospital, and south philly more often). There are still so many on my list that are left to try – so please share some of your favorites in the comments.
On my “to try” list right now is: green eggs cafe, federal donuts, franklin mortgage, farm and the fisherman, hop sing laundromat, jet wine bar, amis, el rey, pizzeria stella, pumpkin, nypd pizza, brauhaus schmitz, lolita, barbuzzo, vetri, and more.
