A few weeks ago Bossman got married in India. If you’ve been reading my blog for longer than a week you probably know that because of the four posts I did on the adventure (1, 2, 3, 4). A bunch of us ended up deciding to go on a gift together from the wedding. There was a lot of brainstorming that took place, but in the end we decided on a really cool idea brought to our attention by Jenn, and executed by Tim.
Tim has a key to Bossman’s house. So what we decided to do was stock his house full of wine and beer for when he returned. Not only that, but we decided to buy bottle labels and beer tags to put on all of the alcohol to make it a little bit more fun. We bought them from Rachel R. Perry Designs and you can find them here.
These tags said things like 1st Big Purchase, 1st Date, 1st Home-Cooked Meal*, 1st Argument, 1st Anniversary, 3rd Anniversary, 5th Anniversary, January 1st*, 1st night alone*, and 1st Month Smoke-Free*. Anything that is starred was a custom order.
I was really impressed by the final product.
I asked a few questions about how the whole shabang actually went down. They actually picked the bottles that they chose based on the color of the label just for fun. They said the labels were pretty easy to put on, but there were a few air bubble situations. They also bought him a nice bottle of scotch 🙂
Not too shabby, huh?
Does anybody have any other good wedding gift suggestions?
