This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending a bridal shower for my friend Sara. I haven’t seen her in so long, and going to the shower meant that I got to meet her fiancé while he’s still her fiancé. (There have been at least three weddings that I’ve been to in the past year that I didn’t meet the significant other until the wedding day. Is that weird?) I was also a part of some of the game and decor details, which I will be sharing with you on the blog over the next few days. The first one I want to share with you is simple flower arrangements.
Admittedly, this plan was completely executed by Marie. She’s a bridal shower genius. We went shopping at produce junction and picked up a few bouquets of flowers – 5 of carnations and 1 of baby’s breath.
The total came to around $30. I have no idea if this is a good or bad price, but either way the flowers were beautiful.
Marie’s mother gave her a few jars from around the house and Marie put together beautiful arrangements. She cut the stems down to the proper size and put bunches in each jar to create a poof effect.
One of the biggest challenges I face while creating flower arrangements is the exact number of flowers that should be in each arrangement, but my just creating a poof effect it added a splash of fun all around the shower.
Do you have any simple flower arranging techniques?
