In honor of finishing the first draft of my e-book, How to Stay in Touch, I’m going to be sharing some simple letter templates for you to stay in touch with people close to you in your life over the next week while I finish up my vacation. (I’ll be popping in for the One Down, One Up on Friday though.) You can use them as physical letters, the words to write in an email, or a starting point for an even longer letter. I’ll be sending out these letters while I’m on the road, and absolutely let me know if you send them as well!
Today’s letter is to an old friend. There are so many people that we have met and gotten the chance to know over the years and some days it seems impossible to stay in touch with all of them. It doesn’t need to be hard though, just jot down a few words. The most random part is having to ask for an address. “Hey, I know we haven’t talked in a while, but may I have your address please?” The response I usually get to this is, “are you sending a wedding invitation?”, which always makes me smile. No, not even close, just a postcard.
So take some time to dig through your list of memories to figure out what friends you may have lost touch with and use the template below to say hello, how are you!? There’s no such thing as too late.
