I have a confession. I don’t actually have the patience to pay attention to every detail in life. I figured this out a long time ago. When my friend Aubrey got married and she decided she wanted to put those candy pearls on top of every cupcake of hers, we called our friend Kristine, who has all the patience in the world, and she had a blast. I, however, am not that kind of gal. And you know what, I’ve figured out how to account for that. Here’s one of my many tricks.
When I glue/tape two pieces of paper together to form the inside and outside of the card (because a lot of time the fancy paper for the front is not thick enough to hold its own as a card), I don’t spend much time trying to align them correctly. Instead, I glue them together and then cut around the edges to make sure that everything matches and is (close to) straight.
It makes things a whole heck of a lot easier, and you know what – they’re homemade cards – it doesn’t matter what size they are :)
Tip: Just make sure you don’t start cutting edges after you start writing inside of it, you might cut off some of your message.
