When 2013 started one of the things that I was most excited about was the fact that I could take all of my 2012 Instagram photos and put them in a book. By nature, I am someone who loves to have things. One day I hope to have enough space that I can have an entire area dedicated to photo albums, scrapbooks, photo books, and picture frames. They’re so much fun to look back on.
I decided to use Artifact Uprising to create the book, a small company out of Colorado. The team was great to work with – I actually interacted with two different people throughout the process of creating this book. I exported all of my pictures using Instaport. Their interface was very simple to use with premade layouts. The book that I made was 90 pages (the maximum), with 9 pictures on each page. (I took a lot more photographs in 2012 than I thought I did. Actually, I didn’t even get the Instagram account until April. What does that say? #addicted)

Now comes the big question. Do I write in this book, or not? I got this idea from Elise Blaha. She ordered this garden photobook and wrote all over the pages in it. It looks wonderful, and it captures so many more memories this way. But it’s such a commitment that I’m nervous about it. This is definitely a go big or go home situation. What would you do?
