A few months ago, January 16 to be exact, I saw a tutorial on how to build a ribbon organizer on Craft. I fell in love. And I have SO much ribbon that this was absolutely necessary for me (clearly).
(A related aside: Over Christmas I went shopping one day and came home with 20 spools of ribbon. My dad asked, “what are you going to do with all of that ribbon”, I shrugged and said, “I thought it was pretty”. My father’s response – - “you’re lucky I love you”.)
Well, I FINALLY found time to make it, with a little help from Jake. (Another related aside: Jake told me it would be easier to use a smaller hammer with the type of nails I was using, but I decided I wanted to use the bigger hammer to feel more official.)

It definitely wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. I ended up deciding not to paint it/stain it – a combination of being too excited to put my ribbon in it and not being exactly sure what color I wanted to paint it. But, I’ve got to tell you, my 59 spools of ribbon look really awesome in it in ROY-G-BIV order. And by that I mean V-ROY-G-BI, I find it easier to fade purple to pink to red. Take a look at the finished product. Still so excited :)
